sims 2 no signall black screen prob

hello i have just installed sims 2 and after a few minutes of playing "no signal" flahes. after that the screen goes black and cuts. if i minimize it and bring it back up it works again but now its stopped altogether. i have an radeon 9000 family graphics card. please help me and my little sister have been waiting weeks for this game and weve only had it one day

You didn't list the rest of your system specs but my guess is your PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements.
