Sims 2 Loading Problem

Specs: Windows Vista
Hi - Everytime I try to load my daughter's Sims 2 expansion packs I have a problem. I start with Double Deluxe, then try to add Apartment Life, Open for Business, and Bon Voyage. The programs seem to overwrite each other and then they won't all work. Is there some secret to loading these things properly?

The Sims 2 doesn't have to be loaded in any particular order. What are you system specifications and are you getting any error messages? As Apartment Life is the last EP, you need to be using that CD to run the game. If that doesn't work let me know what kind of error messages you're getting. The Sims 2 and EP's don't overwrite one another, you'll see that they simply create a new file in your EA Games folder for each expansion pack. The only time you'll lose data is if you uninstall the latest Expansion pack.

Ok, I started from scratch and loaded the Double Deluxe, then Bon Voyage, Open for Business, and ended with Apartment Life. Now the only thing I can get to come up is the Apartment Life EP. Whenever I click on any of the other icons, I am told to put that disc in, and when I do, it gives me an error saying I need to put the Apartment Life disc in, then it will only allow me to play Apartment Life. What am I doing wrong? Shouldn't I be able to play any of the games? Do I need the disc for each EP to play that particular EP? Do I need to start the games in any particular way?

No, you only use the Apartment Life disc and the Apartment Life Icon. The Sims 2 will only run if you use the most recent disc for the most recent EP. All of the other ones will be in use for the game (Bon Voyage, Open for Business, Pets will all be accessible when you play) you just have to use the Apartment Life disc. All of the other games you installed will be included in that play. It's just that the Sims will use the most recent disc to run the entire game so all of your installations will be used. As Deluxe has Nightlife in it, if you go into Build Mode you will see Driveways available and in Buy Mode you will see Cars. Apartment Life will not run by itself, so you're good to go. Just pop in the Apartment Life disc and the game will run with all of the EPs you have installed.
