If you only have 500MB of ram you don't have enough ram to play the game if you did get it installed. If you attempted to install and it froze, you need to uninstall and clear your registry or the system will continue to fail installation. That has happened to me before with this game. You might also make sure you have a CD/DVD Rom as I know that later Sims 2 games, such as Double Deluxe and other EPs were DVDs and not CDs. Try to run the uninstall and see if it can uninstall the game. This is a good link and will help you find any traces of a failed install. http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php...

"If you only have 500MB of ram you don't have enough ram to play the game"

The minimum RAM requirement for SIMS 2 is 256MB.

"the installation always freezed"

Run a cleaning program, reboot, then try the installation again. Try this: http://www.glaryutilities.com/downl...

I run the cleaning programme but it didn't change anything.I don't think that the ram is a problem because i played this game before on this computer and i was ok.I recently reformatted my computer,do you think that it might be the cause of the problem?
