My dad has the sims on his comp. So i decided to take his disc and download it onto mine. However, everytime i put the disc in, my computor doesn't even know it's there. I put in Zootycoon and it knew it was threre, so I'm guessing it's something wrong with the game. Can anyone help??

Sims 2 Double Deluxe requires a DVD Rom, so make sure you have one on your PC. The game will allow you to install without one, but it will not run without out. Also The Sims 2 Double Deluxe uses SecuRom (see my post on Disc Authentication Errors). This is an installed DRM which prevents things, like what you're trying to do. In the Disc and SecuRom's mind, the game is only licensed to your dad's PC. As the game uses online authentication, you might have to purchase your own copy of the game in order for it to run on your PC especially if the game is still being used on the other PC as each time the game is started, it will authenticate your use of the game. Two PC's running the same licensed game aren't going to be allowed with SecuRom's DRM which is not on the disc it's installed on your PC.
