It's HIGHLY unlikely that youl be able to play the game at an acceptable level. get something like a AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 512Mb RAM Geforce FX5200 I wouldn't recommend going much cheaper than that, maybe a bit less RAM, or slower processor, but even this system probably wont run it perfectly. your suggested system is a little overkill for just sims2. However, i do not think that you will upgrade just to play sims2 and nothing else. Then i would be looking at a system like livingdecay's.
