mmmm.... not true, your requirenmemts are more than enough to run that game, though it's a GREAT game the game engine it's not THAT much of a technological-cutting edge wonder.

- I think the problem could be a codec like it states here.

- Or try updating your video card driver.

- Is your virtual memory set on "automatic"?

- In any case GET MORE RAM, (256MB more should do). The price is finally right.

But I really don't know if tehre are any known conflicts between this game and this particular card.

Good luck.

Peace.

I know why the Silent Hill 3 freezes on the into screen.

It is because the game has an uncompatibility with so many video cards... That's why the screen gets frozen sometimes... There's a "Fix Pal Settings...", that correct this uncompatibility with nVidia newest cards...

And... I'm poor, and if one of y'all wants to buy an accelerator card for me... send me an e-mail, ok! Thx!

Don't know what y'all talkin' about!

Had the freeze on start up problem. Despite emails from Konami, the only real solution was to make a pure windows disk. I installed removeable drives (hey, they are cheap!) and I use a fresh load of windows and update all drivers...fixed my problem.
