I'm having a problem where everytime I install and run any game, my computer will shut off randomly after about 10 minutes of play. I've never had this problem when doing anything else on my computer, games just seem to trip my system. What should I do to correct this problem? My system is as follows:
OS: Vista Premium?!?!?! OHHHH NOOOOO!!!! It does sound like a temp problem, especially since its shutting off and not just crashing back to the desktop.
To further isolate the issue ..... temporarily leave the side cover of your case open & see if this helps to prevent the arbitrary shut downs.
If it does, you may need to clean out the innards of your system including any component that has a fan attached to them. Ironically, it is hard for me to picture your machine in a hot & stuffy location with the typical weather at this time of the year, but who knows?
invest in a can of air !! is your psu a cheap psu that came with your pc or is it a reputable psu..antec. enermax etc...too many oem companies these days put cheap psu's in their pc's invest in a good one if you haven't already.
