Reply: (edit)Radeon x1950 PRO you mean? Get that if they don't have the x1950xt in AGP. Also don't get the 256MB versions.

Reply: (edit)As long as $50-100 for a decent PSU isn't what you'd consider expensive. If you buy a generic $20 unit, you'll put your entire system at risk.

Reply: (edit)I also want to add that you may want to consider to add another 512mb or 1gb RAM to your current system for better gaming performance... Thus $100 (psu) + $200 (x1950/7800gs) and $50-100 (512/1gb DDR) isn't a good investment... Reply: (edit)You haven't even told us about the PSU you have now? What's the make/model, wattage, & how many amps are on the +12v rail? (see label on side of PSU)

Reply: (edit)Currently I have the stock PSU I got with dell (250W) This X1950 thing looks like its going to cost me too much, I dont think I want to spend such a hefty amount. I am willing to spend around $200-$300 CAD (maybe $350 CAD) Whats the best deal for that amount, with PSU and Ram and everything included, if needed?

Reply: (edit)You need at least a x1950 PRO with 450watt PSU to run the newest games on medium. The PSU only cost under $40. Also you will want 2 GB of RAM.

Reply: (edit)My RAM is DDR, and for which games I would like to run. I am thinking FEAR, Rainbow Six and the lot on close to high settings. Btw, just out of curiosity, how good can x1650 handle games compared to x1950.

Reply: (edit)Well hmm don't spend over $50 on PSU because the next time you will need to buy another PSU this technology will be outdated and you'll be spending the $xxx on an entirely new setup.
