iv got a strange problem with this game, some time it works and sometime it won't.
the game loads to the main menu, then you select a ship "start game" hit to load, loads to %95 then crashs to my desktop with the below error. if i "click hear" on the first image it gos to the second image and a screaching from my speakers??.
at the moment its not working at all.
gc,chip s,drivers up to date

iv been searching high and low for a ancer for this,many thanks for any help.

Ok, it looks like a problem with the mpeg4system.dll, is there an intro video on certain games?
Also, is your card nVidia by any chance? As they have tried to build in MPEG4 Acceleration into the drivers, but it's not that stable...

MSI X800 eh? Well, I don't know if Ati implement any MPEG acceleration, the only work around I know is to lower hardware acceleration in display settings...

that was my first port of call :-)
any way i managed to sort it out after some detective work.
"the mpeg4system.dll" its pointing to was installed with a mobile phone management program deeeeeeep inside system32.so it must have been clashing heads with questviewer.
i uninstall the program and everthings works perfect, thanks for all your help.
