Scratched Discs

I have a game for my pc which I've been trying to install on my computer, but the disc is scratched so my computer is having problems reading the files, is there anything on the internet that will read the files and install the game onto the pc

Are the scratches on the bottom of the disc? how about just removing the scratches? the actual files are on the top on the disc, not the bottom, so unless the scratches are really deep, you should be able to polish them out. There are few different household products you can try. I've used automotive polishing or rubbing compound, but I've read that some people have success using toothpaste. Don't rub in a circle & don't rub back & forth...rub from the center & go outwards toward the edge
