so i decided on buying the sapphire radeon 4870 i decided i like radeon more after all but lets not comment on that. rather ive noticed that it didnt give me much of a performance boost over the 7800GT in world of warcraft is it because my CPU isnt good enough? or my CPU is the reason why i cant see steady 60 frames per second?

Athlon X2 5600+ @ 2.8ghz
MOBO = M2N-E
2GB DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon 4870 512MBDDR5

What's wrong with 60FPS?? If you want higher framerates, remove the 60FPS limit.

Did you try disabling v-sync as suggested & did you notice a difference in your FPS for comparison?

in places that have alot to load like alot of people or widely detailed environments with alot of crap like trees and mountains and buildings it seems to dip more. otherwise it is very consistent and good FPS. and when i mean dip i mean like 30s in world of warcraft which doesnt require that good of a computer to play. i also was wondering about RAM. i have 2gb DDR 667mhz and i thought about moving to 4gb but people were saying unless your going vista 4gb is overkill for XP
