Okay, i tried to fix up my router, even put it in a DMZ as last hope. Is it possible to use a switch instead, and play games through that? Or should i just buy a different router (oh there goes my money AGAIN)

"Do you or do you not have multiple devices sharing your internet connection?

If you do, you're going to need NAT (unless your ISP is giving you multiple public IP addresses, and most don't). Your only options at that point would be putting your PC in a DMZ, or attempting to forward ports, which I don't believe is necessary with the games you listed unless you're hosting a server."

That was in a prior thread of yours. It gets frustrating for us to answer your very same questions multiple times.

I'm sorry, i figured out what the router problem was, it had some sort of fucntion for "special internet applications" such as games. Still thanks for your help Psycho, and once again, i'm sorry.

Do you happin to have a website on which i can learn a lot of routers?

If you're talking about SOHO routers, not really. It would probably be more beneficial to learn about NAT in general, and what port forwarding, DMZ, SPI, etc. mean.

You can also build your own firewall/router out of an old PC using IPCop, m0n0wall, or other free linux/freeBSD distros that often require no knowledge of their native OS to install and manage.
