I have a problem with my router when i want to host a game through direct ip. This happens with ala games i try. I don't have the windows firewall on. When i try to access the routers configuration page although the first time let me to access it the second try did not let me(the first time i exit the page without loggin out) Pls guide me on what should i do with this problem. I now that i should create a virtual server (i think) how??

what u gotta do is open the ports for the game or just enable yourself as a DMZ host to open all the ports. tell me what kind of router you got so we can get further. is u have a linksys i could explain it easiewr cuz thats what i got.

what kinda router??

make sure you have DMZ host enable & port fwd should have server port enable !

Well my router i US Robotics for Broadband connection. I think the code for the router is 6400800002.
Please explain me better what do you mean and what DMZ is??

once your loged into your router by http;//192.168.1.1 or watever you gateway is

you will see somthing like port fwd or DMZ host? make sure its enable !

You have to log out from the original computer before you can access the router from a different one. So, if you haven't done it already, open the router from the original machine and log out...
