for those that rely on newegg.com for their parts (me!). Today I just wanted to look up on a part in a different site. Zipzoomfly has a retail MSI x800PRO for $199 w/ free 2nd day shipping. The same model number card is $269 on newegg. I figured I should share this since a lot of people use newegg. Prices on newegg and ZZF pretty much fluctuate between one having better prices. I've seen cheaper things on one than the other. So Save $70 for this card on ZZF. search this model # RX800PRO-TD256E. Though what is wierd...if you search this RX800PRO-TD256 (no "E") There is 2 EXACT cards but one that is much more expensive, they are both retail.....go figure.

well upon closer inspection, the $199 card is the PCI Express version. The $269 is AGP. Wow....AGP users pay a premium for the x800pro... the PCI Express version is still $269 on newegg.

I suggest you look again...they are NOT the exact same thing. The card with the "E" is PCI-e...the card without is AGP. Newegg doesn't appear to carry the AGP version...

Newegg has the "E" for $269 + $3.50 shipping...ZZF has it for $269.99 w/free shipping. The saving is $2.50.

BTW, rumor has it that newegg & ZZF are the same company. I've never been able to confirm that though

OOOOPs, got the cards mixed up...obviously you figured out that one is AGP & one is PCI-e. But you're right, the PCI-e card at ZZF is $70 cheaper...$73.50 if you include shipping

Yeah, I've mentioned in a couple of threads to check out zipzoomfly. They're beating newegg in price repeatedly on many items these days.
