ok can someone pls shed some light on a frustrating issue for me
what dictates the max resolution i can play games at,the monitor or the grafix card,reason im asking is the max i can push cod4,fear etc is 1440X900,im sure i can do much higher,im using an XFX GeForce 9800GT 512,
also what is the maxresolution i should be able to play?

You cannot exceed the native resolution for the monitor. In the case of your Syncmaster 943NWX, the max is 1440x900@60Hz. If that's not good enough for you, buy a new monitor.
