Specs: Windows XP
SO my monitor kept turning off randomly without warning, i looked it up while my monitor was working and i found something that told me it was because of my graphics card, Geforce 4 MX 440, i went out to buy a new one and it needs 300Watts to run and im not sure what mine is, so if someone has any idea what the requirements for the Geforce 4 MX 440 and could tell me if my power supply is good enough that would be great. and i have a HP w1907 monitor if that helps at all.

The GF4 MX440 is an very old, outdated card (2002) & is NOT a huge power user. A decent 250W PSU should be plenty big enough.

Why wouldn't you have gotten a better card? If you paid more than $20 for the MX440, you got ripped off.

" needs 300Watts to run..."

That means the whole computer, not just the MX440. I've had several running in machines using 220 and 250W psu's.

OK thanks for your help, i had to search all over my computer to find the power output, its custom built so i had no idea where to look. anyway it turns out i have 350 Watts. So I'm guessing its good enough to run my new card, Geforce 8400 GS that needs 300 watts.

The 8400GS isn't a very good card either. If you're into gaming, you're gonna have to do better than that.
