I wonder if there is a way I can install and run Red Alert (1 and aftermath) on my XP pro computer, I'm very disturbed with the way Microsoft ignores gamers.
If this is not possible (whitch would be wierd) then I wonder how you install win95 on my XP. I have a friend that did that (and you could chose whatever OS you wanted when you powered the computer) so don't tell me it wont go. (:

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to install it on an XP computer...me and my friends have played together on our machines with XP, with no problems. So i don't think you should either

Many people, particularly gamers, have dual-boot systems to avoid the very trouble you're having. You can have multiple versions of Windows installed on the same computer.

You can shrink the XP partition to make room for a '98SE partition, or you can simply add a second hard drive.

Generally though, you want to install the older OS first. Here's what I would do:
- delete the current XP partition
- create a partition (1/3 - 1/2 of the drive)
- format with FAT32
- install Windows 98
- create XP partition in remaining space
- install XP

tips:
- XP includes a boot manager that will let you choose which OS boots
- Create a third partition for storing documents/files to be accessed by either OS
- If you install XP first, installing '98 will overwrite the boot sector, and you'll have no way to boot XP without re-installing or using third-party software

Hope this was helpful. Do a Google search and you'll find tons of dual-boot info.

Best Luck,
Bob
