Comment: My problem is a simple one! I want to thank everyone in advance for helping! Basicly while I'm playing any game that stresses my Radeon X800 Pro (Counter-Strike: Source, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes), after awhile there will be a static sound from my speakers and a sudden stop of EVERYTHING. I'm not running any anti-virus/spyware, so I don't think thats the problem. I thought it could be an audio problem so I tried updating my drivers. No luck. I use an onboard Realtek AC97 soundcard, just for the record :P After I updated my drivers, I came across the thought that it maybe my video card overheating. I got ahold of ATITool to turn up my fan's speed. That works just fine but I noticed it wasn't an overheating problem (so I thought.) Reply: (edit) How many watts is your PSU rated at? You may be getting instability if it isn't enough to cope with the card, ATI recommend at least 350 watts, but 400 is better. Zee. Reply: (edit)I am having the same problem, only not in the above games in DOOM3. A freaking sweet and scary as hell game... but anyway I thought that it was my video card, an old but a supported card, the Geforce 3 ti200, 128 mb. It is a great card and has served me well but I thought it was time to update it. If it is however just a power problem, I only have a small 320 watt psu, then that would be a simpler fix. It would be great to get some feed back and help. Thanks! :D Well I used to know what I was talking about... now I just struggle to keep up :D

Reply: (edit)Hey, I fixed my problem with the random freezing. For me it was as simple as updating my drivers. I don't know if you have done this or not yet but try downloading the most recent drivers off of the company website and that might work for you too. I know the cards come with a CD but that may not be the most recent. That might work for you. Well I used to know what I was talking about... now I just struggle to keep up :D

Reply: (edit)All my drivers are up to date. I just noticed that I freeze while playing flash games/movies. Odd, this has to be a software problem.
