Power supplies suck on dells. Since mobo connectors are proprietary, you have to buy from PC Power & Cooling, some of the best in the industry, but expensive. Perhaps that's why its choppy.

It is not your dell. I have a lesser model then you I have the 4600 and a 9800 pro, 2.6ghz and 1.5GB of ram.

I can play all of those game smoothly. Would you mind posting your other stats, you may have a virus or soemthings wrong if you get choppy gameplay with that card. I run on high settings and reoslution

I play on a dell, and it is mean! 3.4ghz / 1024 with the x300 graphics SB Audigy ......

For Halflife 2 (well counter strike source) use the mat_specular 0 command will take the shine of the suirfaces and give you some extra fps... and if you are really into it, turn every graphic advanced option to low, as well as the sound options. You are there to shoot people, not to see nice graphics.. on low it is still sweet as though... .. .talkin of gamin... catchas...

also, go into your advanced properties for your display properties, and turn all the crap off. You want performance, not quality..
