Radeon 9600 XT vs. GEForce 6600

I'm planning on purchasing a new computer and I'm stuck between buying these two graphics cards. The former is £8 cheaper, but is it worse?
As I don't have any personal experience with using either, can anyone please recommend either one to me?
My computer details are currently for a computer I am going to purchase in the future.

The 6600 is undoubtedly a better card than a 9600XT, GT or not.

The 6600 (not agp) owns. I am running BF2 all on medium at 1024x768 with athlon XP 1800+, 1.5gb ram, and eVGA GeForce 6600 agp 8x 256mb and it never goes below 50 FPS. You can overclock the core and memory, and you can get some ram sinks for the memory to push it even further!
