Specs: Windows 7, dual core 3ghz
So i recently bought a computer, it has 2 rams each is 2 gb and it is DDRIII which leaves me 2 free slots on the motherboard...and i also have an older gaming computer which has 3 rams each is 1GB and is DDRII, so i have no more use for my older computer and i started thinking of taking out my 2 DDRII rams and put them on my new computer beside my DDRIII s...is that possible would that be better or worse?...my motherboard is ASUS M4A79XTD EVO...so therefore the memory size will be 6 gbs instead of 4gbs...any comments or help? thanks a lot :D

you can't, it won't work. the mobo has to be designed specifically for either DDR2 or DDR3. if your machine is running with DDR3, we already know it won't run with the DDR2. don't even try, you could damage the RAM or the motherboard.

A computer than uses DDR2 memory certainly isn't old.

As UpAndComing said, what you want to do won't work. DDR2 & DDR3 are two completely different things. That's why one is called 2 & the other is called 3. The will not physically fit in each others slots. This pic will show you why:
