Using specifications only, the 9600GSO "should" run on the +12v2 rail. My problem is that your psu may or may not be good enough; should I say borderline?

Yeah. What bothered me about the HD4670 was the puny 11a +12v1 rail on that psu. Might take some swapping of drive connectors to free up power on 12v rail 1...hard to say.
Too bad a 4 pin connector isn't supplied on the HD4670 just for shaky multi rail psu's like this Enlight.

i agree with both of you i would go with a better brand PSU and at least a 500W and push for a newer card as well although its not that bad of a choice for a budget
had a bad experience with a cheap PSU frying and taking my mobo with it once and now i only use name brand power

Summary: I really see no need to upgrade at this time either. I do see what may be a slight problem, it depends on whether you have a S754 or S939 Athlon 64. If it's S939, you can't be running in dual channel ...
Summary: It very well could be - what is the specification of your PSU? - Be sure to include as much details as possible. FYI - These days wattage alone do not tell the whole story with PSUs How To Ask Questi...
