Hi i have both a PS2 and xbox.... but not a Cube becuse nitendo makes crap now (cube is worse than a dreamcast and we all know what happened with that console)...Me personally i only bought the PS2 for reliabilty and for Grand Theft Auto (must have) and i wanted a xbox for Halo (must have as well)..but since GTA came out on xbox go with an xbox...xbox has graphics and games...but it has its downsides for example the controller is a little heavy and not my cup of tea controller and also have to buy a DVD kit to play DVD's ($20 not bad), but for PS2 you do not and i trust and like SONY. But ultimitley xbox is what you want... it also pisses me of that i bought a PS2 and now they are coming out with another one(PS3)...and like the people above say xbox has PC kind of games (micrsoft, you get the picture)...do not get the PS3 because i heard game companies are not going to focus on making games for the console and its estimated to get poor sales... all it will have is the same graphics card as XBOX... so get the Xbox... aslo if you wait 2 years ALIENWARE is coming (supposidly) out with a console with ultimate graphics that allow you to play PC games and the latest PC games with great graphics....but thats years away.... but for now go with xbox(billion dollar company behind).. so i trust XBOX won't go under...

the xbox physically has better hardware. It has an Intel PIII 733MHz CPU, 32 or 64MB RAM, an Nvidia nForce2 graphics chip (which I thought was a mistake, I'd rather see an ATI graphics chip in there), a DVD-ROM drive, an ethernet port for high-speed LAN and xbox live gaming and of course a hard drive (some xbox's come with 8GB, some with 12GB). The PS2 on hand has a 233 or 266MHz CPU, ??? RAM (ive heard that it only has 8MB!), and a ??? video chip (ive heard it was made by Sony), a DVD-ROM drive, and a slot in the back for "expansion." The gamecube has a 450MHz CPU (or around there), ??? RAM, an ATI graphics chip, and a strange CD-ROM drive (capable of only accepting those small 'MP3' CDs. Personally, I wouldnt go near the Gamecube, unless you realli like those nintendo games like MarioKart, or Paper Mario, or Super Smash Brothers. If your a person who likes Final Fantasy stuff, then stick with the PS2. I would personally recommend the Xbox, and if you are a serious gamer, becuz the Xbox has come out with some realli neat games, and will be coming out with sum sweet games. Already Halo, Splinter Cell I and II, Morrowind, GTAIII/Vice City expansion, Deus Ex Invisible War and others have come out for Xbox, and have clearly blown my mind away. Halo 2, Fable, B.C., Half Life 2 and others are expected to be released rather soon for Xbox, and they are planned to be some of the greatest games ever created. So, personally, I would recommend getting the Xbox. You can play sweet games on it, watch DVDs on it (however you have to purchase a remote and adapter, but it is worth it), and you can copy music on your Xbox's harddrive. Some xbox games even let you listen to your copied music while playin the game.

Whats wrong with you people! xbox is horrible! PS2 is wayyy better.. There are so many more games and the controller is way better than the xbox or gamecube one.

heres the deal xbox is pretty much a pc in a box and gamecube is just like the n64,it will be taken to the same path as it. get a ps2 what the f*** is wrong wit gamers these days all tey want is graphics.the ps2 and gamecube(which isn't as good)are the only ones that focus on games and not makin the games look pretty all the xbox has is halo there already is a halo on ps2 if u want to play games not play a movie get a ps2 it will do you better

Okay, most of these people are X-Box fans, and I pity them greatly. They can't see the error in the system. X-Box is by microsoft, a COMPUTER company. Microsoft knows little about games, and basically makes computer games for X-Box, anyway. X-Box is, basically, a computer, only they limited it's powers. X-Box 2 isn't gonna be any better. It doesn't improve on it's specs. It's more expensive. They basically changed the name and the look, and expect people to be idiots and buy it. So, unless you want to later look like a fool, do NOT buy X-Box. PS2 and GCN are the good ones. Personally, I think GCN is better, but PS2 is a great system as well. PS2 has some great games like FF and DDR. Unfortunately for Sony, Nintendo has made a deal with Square Enix and will be having FF games (REAL ones, not like FFCC), and already a DDR for GCN is in the making. Also unfortunate for Sony, PS3 is only as powerful as X-Box, and therefore will be inferior to the N5, which will have the highest specs (and most innovation) of all next generation systems. So, X-Box is flopping and will continue to. PS2 is currently a great system, but if they don't make some changes, Sony will soon be doomed (by the way, PSP will NOT do as good as GBA. Nintendo has more experience in handhelds. PSP is overpriced. And, don't forget the N-Gage, the worst selling handheld to come out in history. Nintendo will do the same to PSP, if needed). The other thing about Nintendo systems is the styles of games. Sure, call it kiddie if you want, but first take a look at the GCN's games for the older guys. Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Resident Evil 4, and never forget the legendary Tales of Symphonia! Nintendo may be mocked for their innovation, but now take a look at X-Box: guns, guns, and more guns. Hey, I don't have anything against guns, but that's just stagnating the system. Nintendo takes chances and comes up with GREAT games, that sound cheesy but (if you play it) are super addicting. Never judge a book by it's cover. So, if you want to just shoot stuff and don't give a crap about videogames themselves, go ahead and get that stupid X-Box. If you want lots of online games, get PS2 (or wait for N5. it supposedly will be centered around having online games). If you want a variety of different games, get GCN. Try the kiddie looking games like Pikmin, Animal Crossing, and Wario Ware. Insult them after you know how they play. And don't play just a few minutes, but actually sit down and play. Give them a chance. Do you want to drive down the same road a little faster, or drive down a completely new road? But, unless you want to be another mindless X-Box follower who keeps arguing with specs that Microsoft makes up to pull in customers, get PS2 or GCN. And I agree with you, "prince", those gamers that go for x-box just for the graphics have got serious problems. (especially since PS2 and GCN COULD out-do those graphics, just they're focused on fun, not looks). And, just you unbelieving X-box fans know, unlike most people, rather than listening to what the companies say, I do investigation to find the "truth", and that's how I know all this. My sources have always been correct, and I verify them before i let anyone know my findings. (Most of you will probably still think you're right, especially if you're an X-box fan. No offense, all X-box fans think they're always right, especially about specs. Still, I can say I at least tried, and my concious is free. What you decide to get is your decision.)
