FYI - Since this is more less a spill over from your initial thread, you should have kept all related inquiries pretty much within that post. (Avoid creeping threads)

Unless you are a mediocre gamer, you better hope to pay good money for a *real* gaming laptop & with your emphasis on the FS series you should get something that will run FSX smoothly when it comes out later in the year.

How much are you looking at spending?

You already asked this! Laptops are not good for gaming UNLESS you buy a gaming laptop...but it depends on what games you expect to play. I'm sure you're not gonna play just this one game with it, are you? The minimum CPU requirement is only 450MHz...I don't know where you're coming up with 1.6GHz?

In other words, any old laptop will be able to handle this particular game. It's hardware requirements are pretty low by today's gaming standards.

No matter how you look at it there's a big gap between $1500.00 & approx £2000.00 ($3600.00), so I figured you *may* be able to afford the XPS M1710 @ £1300.00 without ever getting close to your £2000.00 threshold.......;-)

If you are not real serious about gaming you should instead look at the M1210.
