Problemz with Halo PC

ok i probobly should have asked this when the game 1st came out but...i didn't. anywayz im having a serious problem with halo PC
i have Radeon....9600...i think and whenever i play halo it sais sumthing like an error message about my graphics...anywayz...ill be playing the game and maybe when sumthing is about to happen...like i am about 2 cap the flag or wut ever....my PC shuts down...not like "windows is now shuting down" its more like....i just flicked the switch in the back of my computer...its very ubrupt and fast....i cant see it being good 4 it....any thoughts on how i ca fix this? all the dtails are set on minimum...i can set em on max and it still doesnt matter. itll shut down either way. oh i have 550 MB ram ummm.....2.4 GHZ....like 80 GB...so yeah....i think its just my card or sumthing

and...im sorry for how poorly writen my paragraph is...this was writen over about 40 minutes...kuz im doing work and stuff... so its broken up a little.

i had problems like that with halo and enter the matrix, along with many other things that were happening (mostly crashing with "exceptions" errors or BSOD)
i flashed my motherboard BIOS and everything was fine after that.

the best way to accelerate a mac is as 9.8 metres per second squared

Check for any overheating.

ummm...im sorry for being so incompetent, im not sure what any of u just said.... lol what is "flashed the mother board"? and also...."what kind of power suply"? i apologise for not understanding any of this. i understand a bit about computers...but nothing about hardware or anything. well...if u can tell me what flashing is...and what types of power suplies there are...then that would be kool. thnx for ur help.
