I am trying to install Sims 2 Deluxe on my secondary hard drive which is 'F' and I keep getting an error message! Installation gets to 2% when it says "A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'D:\Support\EAHelp\en-us\Whitepages\Configuring_Routers_and_Firewalls.htm' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation?" What am I doing wrong? Please help!!!!! Thanks!!!!! P.S.: In case you haven't figured it out, I don't have enough space on my 'C' drive to intstall the game.
One common thread when this problem is encountered seems to be if you have any software installed which creates "virtual drives". Such software titles as those listed below: Alcohol,
Nero ImageDrive,
Virtual Drive,
Daemon ToolsThere are others but those above are the most commonly used.
If you have any of those, uninstall it/them and try installing Sims 2 again.
If it installs successfully, you can re-install your virtual drive software afterwards.
Is APSDaemon Daemon Tools? I have APSDaemon.
