Comment: I was wondering if anyone knows if my system specifications are still to low to run BF2 because even at the lowest settings I can hardly even play. Thanks RegalFlush17

Reply: (edit)I know what the requirements are and I exceed them; however, I still am not able to play the game and I was hoping for some input as to why that is. Regalflush17

Reply: (edit)I know it's a laptop. But it has a 3.2GHz P4, 2GB RAM, & the onboard video is a Radeon 9700 w/128MB...it should play BF2 without any probs, especially on the lowest settings. I suspect there's something hogging the resources.... ASUS A7N8X-X Athlon XP 1800+ 8.5 x 200MHz 1024MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7 Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB WinME/WinXP Pro SP2

Reply: (edit)your video card is too weak to play bf2 on any sort of higher level. that, combined with the fact you have slow ram. i ran a 9800xt at med to high settings and still could barely play.

Reply: (edit)Don't listen to NYT. That 9700 should do just fine. Take jam's advice. Maybe you need a reformat if things are too sticky. Also, that 2 gig of RAM should come in very handy with BF2, since it's a RAM scooper.

Reply: (edit)lol, skyfear doesnt know what hes talking about. i play BF2 competitively on a top 10 team with my computers. my desktop if im in town, my laptop if im away. desktop: Custom AMD64 4000+ ASUS SLI Premium 2GB Mushkin Extreme Dual Nvidia 7800GTX Dual 74GB Raptors laptop: Alienware m7700 AMD 64 3800+ 2GB DDR 3200 Nvidia 6800 Ultra a 9700 PRO wont even play the game efficiently at the lowest settings. giving advice on a topic you know nothing about is a real bad move skyfear. you dont help the person in need at all and in the end just waste their time and money.
