hi i have a serious problem playing older games. Anything older than Quake 3. Also on Starcraft now little bit of the screen about 5 cm down and 1 cm long of the screen is starting to get a bit deformed. The graphics look a bit chunky and not as clear as on some other computers. I've formatted and changed my os. ive changed the video drivers to the latest. ive updated direct x. ive also changed my motherboard, video card , monitor, power supply and even my harddrive. and it still happens but on newer games its perfectly clear. ive also changed the refresh rate and resolution and changed the colour from 32 bit to 16 bit but it still does it. also when i play dvd's its pefectly clear aswell. also it cant be the actual game because on other computers its more clearer than mine. ive also looked in the device manager and there doesn’t seem to be any problems with any devices on my computer. I’ve also run direct x diagnostics tool and it says everything is okay. I also tried all the options in Compatibility mode one by one. I also changed the hardware acceleration and it still does it. Also in direct x diagnostics tool under the display tab u can test DirectDraw and Direct3d and the tests came back normal.
