hello im currently using intel intergratted extreme graphics. i can play hl2 and doom 3 on lowest settings with a slight bit of lag. i cant play cs: s. it lags extremely and gives low fps. whats wrong?

Hi, Do you mean playing hl2 offline in single player, and have no lag,.. But playing CS:S ONLINE, and lag? I don't think the intergrate graphic can handle such "live" massive graphic data loads. (that's my opinion[correct me if i'm wrong]) Besides, what kind of connection are you using? Should stay away from big server if you are not using high speed internet.

im on a 2mb broadband connection. i think its the gfx card my self. i cant play hl2 online either

buy a graphic card. its cheat ATI 8500 only $29 in retail store, and it should work fine with lower setting for HL2 and CS:S, but for doom3, i wont guarantee. P4 3.2GHZ kingstom 1GB DDR 3200 Nvidia geforce FX 5950 256mb

if im to get a new card, which i want to, i would spend around £100. i have a pci-express mother board. what card could u recommend

Hi, if you are got a price range in mind, try to look at your local store, and do some research on the cards that fits your price range..I donno what is the cost of video card in UK, but you should be able to get a Radeon X600 Pro, or a Nvidia 6600 card at that price..?! The most common mid end gaming card is the 9800 pro and the 6600GT nowadays..those two should keep your game running smooth, and should handle the games that has yet to come! yea ive been looking at the nvidia 6600 gt for quite a while now. found one for £90 which i think is rather good value for money. i will have a look at the 9800 pro aswell. thanks
