"i come here for answers not facts"

I'm not sure what that means?

The fact is, the 8400GS is a low end/low performance, 64-bit piece of crap! I don't get it....you have a quad-core CPU & 3GB RAM, why would you invest all that money in those two items but "cheap-out" when it comes to the video card?

Did you try the game without the "no CD/DVD crack"?

Sorry, wrong one. Make sure you're using the correct version:

yes i may need a new video card......but it doesn't help when you don't elaborate on post response number #3 i am open to suggestions...and fyi i didn't cheap out on the card this was a christmas gift to me so therefore i had no control over what i recieved as a gift...this pc is capable of quite a bit and so what if it is a oem pc it still works....plays my games...it does what i need it to do...it serves its purpose..just like your pc does what you need it to..i don't control hp and tell them that they have to have better video cards...i may be a consumer but they make all the final decisions..so if you have any suggestions for a video card....please elaborate.

"this was a christmas gift to me so therefore i had no control over what i recieved as a gift"

The 8400GS is about a $40 card. Instead of installing it, you should have politely asked where it was purchased, then returned it, added a few more bucks of your own & gotten something better.

I could suggest several cards, but I have no idea how much you'd be willing to spend. This Tom's Hardware article pretty much lists the best cards by price & many of the prices have actually come down since it was written:

http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/12...

If you go to the end of the article, various cards are grouped by performance. Notice which cards are comparable to the 8400GS. It would have been fairly high end 5 years ago, but today? Not...

"when i recieved this pc for christmas the 8400GS was already in the pc..."

The way you 1st described it, it appeared that you received the video card for xmas, not the entire PC. Regardless, the 8400GS is not a good gaming card.
