Specs: windows 7 64 bit, intel core i3-2100/4 GB

I am facing a new kind of problem.
Whenever i m going for installing game some volumes corrupted of ur source file like problem showes.
Actually whenever i download any game which has 2 part and extracting both of them making game setup. Everything is alright.
But when installation process start it shows source file corrupted. Abort retry ignore options showed on pop up window. Now i though that extracting may be problematic. So i again start extracting process but what happen ? It shows that this part has CRC error. Now what the hack......
I tried in friends pc it ran well i mean extracting installing and playing...with no problem. Every extracting process setup game annoying me. And in my friends pc it runs well so can u tell what is the problem?

It's most likely either your hard drive or one of the RAM modules which is faulty.
Test them both with diagnostic software.

hard drive testing software for DOS (runs from a bootable CD): http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm...

RAM testing software (runs from a bootable CD): http://www.memtest.org/

And yeah one of my friend told me that most probably it is hard drive problem. So do a low level format. What is that

You should test both the RAM & the HDD before doing anything drastic. And if either of them test bad, there's no way to repair them, they will have to be replaced. Did you create the diagnostics discs & run them as per response #1?

"do a low level format"

You can NOT fix a defective HDD by formatting it, low level or otherwise. It would have to be replaced.

Run the diagnostics!
