A few months ago, my computer developed some kinda weird issues. I used to play FFXI, but took a huge break when my comp messed up. Normally when loading FFXI, the screen flickers while it resizes, then the music starts up. Except, one morning after turning my computer on, I tried logging in, and it resized but the screen stayed black and the music never started. Now I can't run the Sims (the first one), or just about anything else. When I start up my computer, I get an error message along the lines of: "Memory Manager not detected Creative SB16 Emulation Driver requires EMM386 or similar Creative SB16 Emulation Driver not loading" The big question, of course, is how on earth do I fix this? I know that someone else on this board had the same problem, and was told to check the config.sys file, so I ran a system search for files of that name and type... I pulled up 3; one in c:/, one in c:/windows/command/ebd, and one in the directory for the mmorpg that just stopped working. Which one should I be checking, where in the file should it be, and what do I do if it's not there?

I'll try as soon as I can find them... I unfortunately lost the floppies a long time ago, and have yet to be able to find creative sb16 drivers that aren't corrupt. Thank you for your help, if you know of any viable driver sites, I'd appreciate the links. If not, take care!
