I have Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 motherboard. I'm planning on upgrading my 1.8 Ghz P4 to a 3.2 Ghz P4 E and get a new 450 W psu. If I put in a nvidia geforce 6800 gt, how will it be powered. Does the psu connect directly to the card? Does it have to have extra connecting wires that will plug into the graphics card? If so, what do I look for when purchasing the psu? Thanks, I appreciate it.

Intel Pentium 4, 1.8 GHz
1.0 Gb of RAM, WinXP pro SP2
Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000, 350 W PSU
Radeon 9600 256mb AGP8x
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
HP CD R/RW
LG DVD burner

I have the XFX GeForce 6800GT card. Mine uses one of the molex power connectors from the PSU, this is the same for any 6800GT card (the 6800 ultra uses two power connections).

Any power supply with a high enough wattage will do.
