hey,
i dont know much about computers and im getting really pissed off. ive had problems with my computer games, any game i play my pc (which is a windows XP made in 2003 and it has an up to date video card from that time) will work for a while (about ten minutes) then the game suddenly freezes, the sound distorts and the screen goes black and says "no signal input". i play my games on 1024 by
760 resolution which isnt that high but it still f***s up.

Any advice on what i could do to fix the problem would be great.
I play games like Mafia, The Godfather, The Movies, Soldier of Fortune 2, Starwars KOTOR, etc. (all of these games used to work fine).
I'm just wondering if ive got an undetectable virus or if my video card's bugged
thx heaps

What exactly is the video card you have? There are a number of things that could be wrong:

* Need updated drivers
* Need to update Direct X
* Overheating
* Possibly the computer is busy with background tasks.

If you could give us details on the graphics card that would be great.

excuse my ignorance but how do you check what kind of video card you've got?

Sorry for the late reply. To find out what video card you have, right click on your desktop and click properties. Then click on the settings tab. There it has something like this:

'Display:
*Your Monitor* on *Your graphics card*'

That information is written directly above the screen resolution slider.
