I just got a new game, and decided to put it into my old-ish computer. Nothing happened, I looked under "My computer" and clicked on the CD icon so it can start. It told me there was no CD within my computer! I double checked, there was indeed a CD there. So then I looked at the requirments on the box, I had all of them. I put it in again, again nothing happened, again I looked under "My computer", again I clicked the icon, again it told me that there was no CD in my computer.

Note: Other CDs work in the computer, and the CD I got works in the other computers.

Has anyone run into this problem? How did you fix it?

I also have another question...

I figured that the computer just didn't like that CD, so I tried making a copy. I put the CD in another computer (no, I can't just play the game in this other computer) and it worked fine and stuff, and I made a copy in my files. I used a program to copy the CD on a blank CD. When it was time to put the blank CD in and get the program to copy the info onto the blank CD, it told me there was no blank CD in my other computer. I tried another blank CD (same type), again it told me that there was no CD. (Incase you're wondering, the blank CD had this on it's cover: CD-R Recordable, compact disc, recordable, 80 min 700 MB, 48x multispeed).

I heard this had something to do with a "DLA". Can somebody tell me what I need to do to get my game/the blank CD working?

Thanks!,
-Bailey

What game is it? Most new games are DVD, not CD, and if your optical drive is NOT DVD, then yes you'll have a problem.

DigitalStorm, Stacker 830, XP Pro sp2, nForce 680i SLI, Kentsfield, 2gb, 2 8800GTX'S, X-FI Fatal1ty, 244T

You don't even know your own system specs?

I agree with aCi11i3s, many new games are coming on DVDs rather tha CDs so it's possible that's the problem. Do you have a DVD drive?
