I'm having a major ping problem everytime i try to play my HL2-Counterstrike using Steam. I'm always getting kick-out by the server. What's wrong with it??? I've ran my anti-virus(no virus was found), no other program thats running while i'm trying to play the game. I have DSL connection(1mbps), P4 3.0Ghz processor, 512MB ram. I NEED YOUR HELP GUYS...

I've got two reccomendations: 1. Try these commands into the console: rate 20000 cl_updaterate 80 cl_cmdrate 80 2. Right click on your 'Steam' icon in the toolbars > select 'settings' > select the 'internet' tab > put it at LAN/T1 >1M. rate 4000 in console works good for me, but try rate 9999 too. Also make sure ur playing on low ping servers close to you. Stupid question, but does it specifically say the reason you are getting kicked is due to ping? after you get kicked, go into the console by pressing ~ and see.

I've tried all of your ideas but still it won't work, I'm still having ping problem.
