PCSX2 problem

it is something happen in my pc, I download the PCSX2 and now can start the game, but in the menu page when I press any button is doesnt work, like in menu I need to choose option, but nothing happen, only the game still running, is that something missing or I need something to play it, if I play with keyboard is that ok?
