when i put my fifa 08 disc into my pc it keeps saying no disc inserted.i have played the game before on my pc but this has started to happen.why?can you help me

If the drive reads other disks ok then, 1. Reboot and try again 2. Inspect the fifa08 disk for cracks, scratches, fingerprints, etc. and clean the disk. Skip

thanks i have been trying for a week now and it keeps saying no disc inserted.i have cleaned my disc,i also tryed the disc in my lap top and it worked fine but for some reason not on my pc why.

I hate to make this as a cause for everything, but what DRM does this game have? Laptops behave differently with DRM like SecuRom than PC's do and people regularly get disc authentication errors such as being asked to insert the proper disc into the drive. Also, if this is a game that uses online authentication, you need to make sure you have two discs otherwise it might fail to run on alternating PC as it bears the same license number etc.

I've had the problem; most recently with my C&C Generals disk. The problem is intermittent and has only occured when using my cd writer or dvd writer. It's never occured using a read only drive. Problem is I've never been able to pin down the problem with any certainty Installing a new drive eliminated the problem for a year or so, cleaning the drive seemed to help for a short time, and cleaning the C&C disk didn't make much difference. To make matters worse (or more confusing), the cd works perfectly on an old 4X CD-ROM made in 1994. Skip

thanks ,to be trueful i do not know what drm is! Also the game is not used on line.can you please tell me how to play the game through a read only drive.i have been playing the game for about six mounths with this disc with no problems until now.i have cleaned the disc but it made no difference.
