My dad has a flight simulator pc game that he wants to play on his tv. The game plays fine on PC but he wants to see it up on the big screen. His system is outdated so I'll have to upgrade the video card to support tv out. Can anyone suggest a low budget card that will give decent graphics and make it worth playing on the big tv. His PC specs are: P3-1.0/ 512 ram/ AGP & PCI slots.
In Nvidia, I would suggest a 7000 or 8000 series card because the drivers support better the resizing of the screen via software, which can often be necessary when using a TV out connection.
With a machine that old, even a 7300GT would be fine.
"Enough, enough bowing down to disillusion! Hats off & applause to rogues & evolution! The ripple effect is too good not to mention. If you’re not affected, you’re not paying attention!"
Getting 8000 series will be bottleneck (and its not available for AGP yet) for your dad's P3 computer. Get him a 7300GT AGP will be more than sufficient.
