Hi, I finally got a new nVidia 8600GT 512mb video card so I can run newer games and programs without any issues (my computer came with an Intel 845G integrated graphics card lol).
I've been playing a few older games lately (they ran before, but on very low settings), and I was wondering what new games I should get for my PC. I like First Person Shooters, RPGs, MMORPGs (not sure about the subscription fees though).
One game I might want to get is Unreal Tournament 3, I tried the demo version and it runs OK on my computer.
Games are one of those things that are more of a personal prefernce. But my favorite is Half Life 2. It's fun to play, but I am impressed with the imagination and attention to detail that went into it. Obviously the people who worked on it loved their jobs.
Very true games are a personal preference, i myself liked all of the hitman games, stalker shadow of chernobyl, medal of honour, call of duty, another games that i really enjoyed more than any other was Broken Sword although this is a point and click but is brilliant once you get into it, quite addictive..
Doom III is a slightly older game but it is a good FPS game and has excellent graphics and a good storyline. It's not very expensive either and looks great in 1600 + res. Lots of creatures to kill and some nice weapons.
If you like fighting games, Battlefield 2 is pretty good. Swat 4 is another good one as well. Battlefield 2 you can fix, snipe, heal, blow up, drive tanks, cars boats and even fly Cobra Chopers. Great game with ranks. Each rank you get to choose a weapon catagory upgrade. Fun and addicting!
