This is just a pain...I need a painkiller.

Painkiller Black on DVD installs and starts fine, but upon showing the menu, it's completely white sans the selections. It is possible to make a selection and start the game, but it's extremely difficult because the cursor is invisible. When the game starts, I can tell it's working because I can hear the sound, but the screen stays completely white. It's like a misnomer...
I've installed its latest patch and updated my mobo video card's drivers, but to no avail. This problem happened when I had my old FX5700, however upon replacing it with a 6200, it still happens. I even formatted the HDD and re-installed everything. Any ideas?

Note: The 5700 was causing a previous problem with my system. Even though the 6200 isn't much of an improvement, I consider it a great leap merely because that nasty old error has been taken care of. I can still play my games well so the 6200 will do for now until I uprade soon. So I'd like to focus on the Painkiller problem and not video card choices, that's for another forum thread. Unless the 6200 may be the source of the problem...but I'd like to consider other factors as well.

Thanks.

End of line.

the 6200 is s---ty...s---tier than the 5700fx...u have to pay attn to nvidia's numbering on their graphics cards. anything below a x600(where 'x' is any generation number) tends to be s---ty for gaming... u shouldve stuck with ur 5700fx or gone for a 6600gt or higher.

I understand that and I will be upgrading later. I thought I said I want to focus on Painkiller's problem, not how s---ty the 6200 is. It doesn't have flaws, it's just budget level which isn't all that bad because I am on a budget.
Please, does anyone have something constructive to say?

End of line.
