I'm getting only 15-18 FPS in very high settings in crysis w/ following specs:
- Intel c2d e6600 2.4 Ghz - evga 680i mobo - evga 8800 GTS 640 MB video card - 6 GB pc 6400 ram (ocz) - vista ultimate 64 bit .........................
Is Crysis supposed to run this slow on these specs? or am I doing sumthing wrong? please advise...

Well, what are you running the game at? resolution, anti aliasing, etc. Crysis is an incredibly hardware intensive game. I have a similar setup to yours (E6800 and 8800 GTS 640 MB) and I get around 20-30 FPS on 1280x1024 with High settings.

if you want to running it quicker ive heard that you can revert back to xp and use dx9 drivers. theres a tweek to get the very high detail and aparently its hard to notice the diffrence form the output from the diffrent drivers.
all text needs typos. There there for the reader to find,to distract them from the total lack of content. google it! wasnt the answer to the question i asked so dont be dense and give me that repl

No, you simply have the settings cranked up too high.

its not ur pc. its the games optimization. really buggy code there. the graphic detail requirements dont scale up right.

Maximum PC recently awarded Crysis "Best Game of 2009" (not a typo) due to the fact that the game is beyond the capabilities of current hardware to really take advantage of the higher settings.
