um... Thats too vage of a question.. What games do you wisht o play? If they are playable online they will have a option in the main menu that says "Multiplayer" or something along that. If thats what you are refering to.

If you have original (non pirated) copies of these games, then yes they are "free" to play online

If you download doom 3 you will probably get a virus or a extremely compressed version of the game which is almost unplayable.

That is completely untrue, however, it is illegal and no you will not be able to play online.
There are certain games and people that have cracked servers, but these are usually few and far between and generally lower quality (ie ping times) then official servers.
I would generally say just buy the damn game if you want to play it online. Though buying doom 3 would be a waste of time for multiplayer. Get half-life 2 or wait for unreal 2007.
