How do I get the fan on a Nvidia 6600 GT card to run ALL the time. I get lag spikes during gameplay when the fan turns on and off.

If it is software related, I believe you can use a program called RIVA Tuner.
Hardware, you might need to get a different fan. Or, fix a fan on it that is on 24/7

wow the fan turns on and off. does taht mean it spins then stop then spin again? you should be glad that the video didnt overheated. replacing a video card fan is harder and should be very carefully, even more careful than replacing a CPU fan. cuz its smaller.

Download the 18362 optimized driver from guru3d.com. It has a fan always on option in the clock frequency settings.
