Comment:

I've got a geforce 6600 and im overclocking it with 'coolbits' so that maybe i can play oblivion smoothly without putting down nearly all the details.

First of all, is coolbits effective since it is software based overclocking?

and second of all my geforce 6600 is set to 300mhz core clock frequence and 500mhz memory clock frequency.

Since now, i overclocked the core clock freq. from 300mhz to 400mhz and the memory from 500mhz to 542mhz but i haven't seen a big difference in oblivion. I don't have another cooler facing the vid card (i have a total of a normal 3 coolers)

Can you tell me if i can overclock it more safely? and yes, till how much?

10x in advance

The 6600 isn't a bad card, but it certainly isn't a great card either...& some of them use 64-bit memory rather than 128-bit. If you have the 64-bit version, you could double the clock speeds & it wouldn't make a significant difference. Turn off the eye candy to improve gaming performance.

Well...do you have a 64-bit card or a 128-bit card? If it's 64-bit, you can either keep it & deal with the low FPS, or upgrade to a better card.
