Hello and I am back with some updates. I updated my motherboard with the latest chipset. I have Nvidia 44.03 drivers for the FX 5200 128MB video card. I tried the lastest drivers (77.72) and I had read other posts that many gamers had problems with the latest drivers. I see no difference between the two. My system: Shuttle AK-11 motherboard, 640MB pc133 memory, My piece of junk Geforce FX 5200 128mb Video card and a 1.2 Thunderbird Athlon processor. I know it is not the fastest thing on planet earth but my uncle who has a Intel pentium 600 with 256mb pc100 ram and the same 128mb video card can play Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30. My computer is jumping all around like it can't handle the frame rate. It looks to boggle up. Can't figure this out. Any ideas before I stick dynamite inside the case and light it?

Is it the 64-bit or 128-bit version?

Why would you go from 77.72 drivers to 44.03? There are at least a dozen versions in between...& 77.72 isn't even the latest:

And make sure you install them correctly:

These are the specs for my card:

GPU- NVIDIA® GeForce FX 5200
CineFX™ Engine delivers film-quality effects and studio-quality color
Digital Vibrance Control 3.0
nView™ Technology
128-bit, studio-precision color
DirectX 9 and OpenGL1.4 support
AGP 8X support

I have the latest directX (9c)

latest chipset for my motherboard

I installed the drivers for the video card correctly. Unistalled my previous drivers and rebooted and I shut down my anti-virus.

Is there anything that I am over looking? Thank you for your help.

Are you still using 44.03 drivers? They're over 2 yrs old! Try something a little more recent....I provided the link, pick a newer driver.

Also, you didn't list the manufacturer of the card & seeing as how the memory interface isn't listed in the specs, I suspect it's the 64-bit version.

"latest chipset for my motherboard"

I'm not sure what that means? Latest chipset drivers? You have an old board with an old chipset...you shouldn't be using the latest chipset drivers, you should be using the ones that work best with the VIA KT133A...that would be Version 4.43

Scroll to the bottom of this page to download them:

Sorry about the confusion on the chipset drivers. That is what I did - I downloaded and installed version 4.43 for KT133A.

I have the 128 bit memory interface not 64.

I have An Asus Geforce FX 5200 128mb DDR V9520 series.

I do not have the V9520-X

I have a program called SANDRA SiSoftware.(tells me everything about what is on my computer and how it's running) When I went to check my video system information, It states that my primary display adapter is NOT vga compatible. Are the drivers not compatible? and how would I correct this?

I took out version 44.03 and put back in the 77.72 and it is the same old crap different drivers.
Thank you for helping me out-LLRTG
