I installed Star Wars Starfighter about six months ago, and it worked ok for a while, with a few glitchy graphics problems every now and then, but over all very good. Then I uninstalled and now I re-installed it (instalation went smoothly) and when I click play from the main menue an alert comes up that says,

"Display Error:
Your 3d adapter is not able to initalize the resolution and color depth selected. Please try updating your video drivers or lowering your display resolution/color depth."

Then I click OK and another, larger alert comes up that says,
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library:
Runtime Error! Program... Am Files\lucastarts\star wars starfighter\game\eruopa.exe abnormal program termination"
Then another one, this time the illegal operation alert saying the program will be shut down Details:

"EUROPA caused an invalid page fault in

So, ive been looking into this for a while. When I ask the game to check my system, it says everything should be operational, it seems my driver for my 3d adapter is working alright and ive tried playing around with the refresh rate and performance settings on my RIVA. Anyone have any ideas? Anything would be much appreciated as im barley computer literate.

Your system is pretty weak by today's standards, but it does appear to meet the game requirements:

My question to you is why did you uninstall the game in the 1st place? To me, that indicates there was a problem before this one.

Good question. As I remember I uninstalled a bunch of stuff from this computer becaue my Aunt was useing it for a while and I didnt want all of my stuff getting in her way or slowing her down. I dont think I uninstalled it because of any problem with the game, that I can think of.
