OS: Vista Home Basic
CPU/Ram: Sempron 2600+ / 1Gb
Product: Custom
Comment:

I am getting annoyed with nVidias new control panel. What is even more annoying is that they have removed temperature monitoring from it. nTune is really a terrible program which looks awful and is crappy to use, so I don't want to use it.

Since Speed Fan dosent seem to be able to monitor the temperatures of my graphics card I was wondering if anyone knew of a similar small program that will read the temperatures of my GPU. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Not all cards support temp monitoring. Does yours? Have you been able to monitor the temps in the past?

Copy and paste the script below to a word or text document then save it as a .reg file. then click that file to add the info to your registry. this will bring back nvidia's classic GUI.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Copyright (c) NVIDIA Corporation. All rights reserved.

Yeah, I was able to monitor the temps in the past, and I can see them in nTune too but I really don't like that program. I'll see if I can get the classic control panel back.
Thanks

If I put in that registry key in Vista freaks and says that the graphics driver was made for previous versions of windows. Then it reverts to basic Microsoft drivers.

I guess I will just forget about the temperature for the GPU, it was just nice to check it out every now and then.
Thanks anyway.
