no sound at all!help help

hey well to start off i took my computer to a store to get it fixed cause i really didn't knwo what was wrong with it. which won;t happen again any way, when i try to get on ventrilo or something it will always say directsound blah blah blah telling me it doesn't work so ill check the properties on it and there will be a ! in a yellow triangle and the mixers won't work either i can't click anything cause they are all grayed out can any one help me!!!help.

Seems like the driver is missing some file or was not properly installed... Best thing is to reinstall the sound card driver to make it work..
