NHL 2006 runs SUPER fast on laptop.

I have a laptop: 1.6Ghz 512MB RAM 32MB Mobile Video Card. Anyways, I installed NHL 2006 and it runs... But in the game it runs about 6X faster than it should... Why is that??? What could I do to slow it down to regular speed?
